200 Revolutionary Guards enter Iraq

December 3, 2006 - Iran Terror has learnt that more than 200 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' (IRGC) Qods Force entered Iraq from the border crossing in Mehran, a small town in western Iran.

They were being led by nine members of Badr Organization and headed straight to Baghdad. A number of senior clerics, including Mohsen Mashhidi, Saeed Taqavi, Reza Safavi, Ali Mohammadi, Kazim Fallahi, and Jalale Tehrani accompanied them.

A credible source in the State Security Forces (SSF) in the western city of Kermanshah said four police-escorted trucks, ostensibly carrying home appliances, crossed the border into Iraq without inspection at 7:00 pm local time.

Separately, on December 1, 2006, the Iranian regime’s agents smuggled to Iraq a consignment, including seven Russian-made sniper rifles, on a truck, license plate number 6122-Tehran. The truck was supposed to have been carrying food stuffs.
