In recent years, the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) has
set up a network of front companies inside and outside Iran that
serve as a front for travel of MOIS undercover agents abroad. The
companies are also used to transfer money abroad without arousing
suspicion.
The front companies have been able to monopolise various market sectors
with insider information and influence, resulting in millions of
dollars in profits.
During Ali Falahian’s time as the Minister of Intelligence and
Security, nearly 100 businesses were setup worldwide. Of these, at
least twenty were setup in Yemen, Zimbabwe, Syria, Sudan and Italy.
Different covers used by the MOIS to conceal communications and movement of its agents include:
1. Regime’s diplomatic posts abroad: The up point to these posts is the
“diplomatic immunity” afforded them, where nothing is questioned, but
the down point being that any terrorist or intelligence work done is
immediately recognized and they are all controlled in that country.
2. Commercial companies: Such companies provide a very casual cover for undercover activities
Details of some of these companies:
1. WPT Company, situated in Cologne, Germany, run by a man named Sharqi
and his two brothers. This company works with Yek-o-yek Company and is
its northern branch in Germany. In agreement with the Iranian Trade
Ministry, they import Iranian goods and sell them to various German
businesses. Taqipour, one of the directors at the Ministry of Trade in
Iran, is in contact with this company.
- In 1995, a giant 320mm mortar was delivered to Antwerp in Belgium
from Iran by this company. The MOIS wanted to use this mortar against
Maryam Rajavi’s (President-elect of the National Council of Resistance
of Iran) offices in a Paris suburb in France. The operation was
uncovered and neutralised in time in Antwerp port. It is believed that
this large mortar was built specially for this purpose.

3. Homan Import and Exports, situated in Düsseldorf, Germany. Yahya
Darm Gazin is the director of this company and Sadeqi and Joorabchi are
two of the people who work for him.

4. Paper and Printers Company, situated in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is
run by Emaodin Taherpour. This company is used as a communications base
by the MOIS.

6. Blanch International, situated in the USA. It is run by Eliasnia,
who has been living there for the past 21 years. He had the license for
selling Yek-o-yek food products in Germany for sometime while
performing various tasks for the MOIS at the same time. Eliasnia is in
contact with Razeqi, one of the directors at the Iranian Trade
Ministry, who provided him with all the needed resources.
His deputy is Mrs. Qajari, who is also a US resident.
