Details about the assassination of " Mojbal Sheikh Issa" PDF Print E-mail

Yathreb weekly - Details about assassination of Mr. Mojbal Sheikh Issa, a Sunni member of Drafting Committee of Constitution, carried out by mercenaries of the Iranian Qods Force on August 8, 2005:

Upon orders issued by the Fajr Base in Ahwaz, affiliated with Iran's Qods Force, United Islamic Front(Naserieh branch) that is composed of " Badr Organisation", "15 Shaaban movement" , " Tallieh Eslami Organisation", " Islamic Dawa Party(Iraq Organization) " set up a meeting in Naserieh and determined their terrorist operations' targets and inserted the following names in their terror lists:

1. Sheikh Harith Al-Zari 2. Mashan Al-Jabouri 3.Dr. Ayad Allawi 4.Hazim Shaalan 5. Dr. Mohsen Abdolhamid 6. Major General Rashid Faleeh( from Ministry of Interior) 7. Dr. Mojbal Sheikh Issa 8. Dr. Kamel Al-Obeidi 9. Eiham Samarrai( former minister of power).

Following the abovementioned plan, Dr. Mojbal Sheikh Issa and another member of drafting committee of constitution were assassinated on 7/19/2005.

In a classified report sent by related groups to the Fajr Base , details about the assassination is written as follows:

" On 7/19/2005, Dr. Sheikh Issa and Dr. Kamel Al-Obeidi, 2 members of the constitution drafting committee were chased and murdered because they were against the federalism plan in the south, and used to support and approve terrorism. They also planned to use the wealth of southern regions for western areas, and at the same time stated that such a plan was not to the benefit of the South. They also said that federalism would lead to disintegration of Iraq and south of Iraq would become a province of Iran, because most of the southerners are Iranians."

The names of those who committed this assassination are:

1. Abu Ali Ebrahimi from Badr Org. 2.Mohammad Zeydan from Badr Org. 3. Abu Ali Al-Baghdadi from Badr Org. 4.Abu Ali Al-Mashrafawi from Dawa Party( Iraq Organization) 5. Abbass Fadhil from 15 Shaaban Movement 6. Abu Ahmad Al-Maddan from Dawa Party-( Iraq Organization) 7. Abdul-Basset from Tallia Eslami Org.

It needs to be said that this crime occurred by shooting bullets, right after the drafting meeting was over and when these two individuals were going home at 12 o'clock. The two persons who fired were: Mohammad Zeydan from Badr Org. and Abbass Fadhil from 15 Shaaban Movement.
