BERLIN, Dec 15 (Reuters) - German officials are weighing up
imposing some form of travel restriction on Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad after his denials that the Holocaust happened, a senior
foreign ministry official said on Thursday. Some six millions Jews were
killed by the Nazis during World War Two. Publicly denying that the
Holocaust happened, as Ahmadinejad has done twice, is a crime in
Germany. |

Hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has courted further
controversy by explicitly calling the Nazi Holocaust of European Jewry
a "myth".
"They have created a myth today that they call the massacre of Jews and
they consider it a principle above God, religions and the prophets," he
said.

The Washington Times, BAGHDAD - An Iraqi general formerly in
charge of special Interior Ministry forces said yesterday that a senior
Iranian intelligence officer was in charge of a network of detention
centers where suspected insurgents were routinely tortured and
sometimes killed.
Gen. Muntazar Jasim al-Samarrai spoke to The Washington Times just as
Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said he had widened an urgent
investigation into complaints of abuse and torture in the country's
detention facilities. |

Italy has frozen the Iranian embassy’s bank accounts in Italy on
terror-related charges, state-run Ettemad Daily reported on December 12.
640 million dollars have been frozen inside the accounts on charges of “supporting international terrorism”.

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Two members of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran, Hossein
Pouyan and Mohammad-Ali Zahedi from the City of Ashraf, were reported
to authorities as abducted on Aug. 4 in eastern Baghdad while on a
routine logistics trip. The residents of Camp Ashraf have been
considered protected persons under the fourth Geneva Convention since
June 2004.

Iran Focus - Iran has ordered its “agents” in Iraq to rig the parliamentary elections on Thursday, according to an Iraqi website.
The plan is to be carried out in three stages, the website Iraq al-Qad wrote on Wednesday.
The first stage involves voting multiple times with forged ballots.
There will also be widespread propaganda to mislead ordinary Iraqis to
vote for the pro-Iran Shiite slate led by the cleric Abdul-Aziz
al-Hakim.

The Counter Intelligence Committee of the NCRI released a
statement on August 5, 2002 on Termadoyan stating: “Termadoyan was a
soldier captured in Iran-Iraq war and in 1989. Based his own request,
he joined the NLA. His registration no. with the ICRC is 0685 and he
had been interviewed privately several times by the ICRC.
He was expelled from the National Liberation Army of Iran for violating
the Army's code of ethics and lewd conduct, details of which are
available in his own handwriting and signature. He eventually returned
to Iran in February 2002. |

The Christian Post- An Iranian convert to Christianity was
kidnapped last week from his home in northeastern Iran and stabbed to
death, reported an Indian Christian religious freedom association.
The Global Council of Indian Christians (GCIC) released an article on
Nov. 29 stating that Ghorban Tori, 50, who was pastoring an independent
house church of Christian converts had been kidnapped, stabbed, and his
body thrown in front of his home a few hours later. The house church is
located in Gonbad-e-Kavus, a town just east of the Caspian Sea along
the Turkmenistan border.

He arrived in Iraq in February 1989 from Turkey and joined
the Mojahedin. He pretended to be suffering from paralyses when he was
called for security check before going to an operation. But the
specialist physicians rejected his claim after carrying out tests
(letter by a specialist is available).
Nevertheless, maximum care was taken and several people looked after
him. He was particularly interested in collecting information. In 1998
when he felt that he was being considered as security suspect, he asked
his membership to be suspended and wrote: “I would like my membership
to be suspended and stripped of my organizational responsibilities. |

Northwest Arkansas Times - Removing the terrorist label from the
National Council of Resistance of Iran remains the best option for
bringing democracy to Iran, said Hooshang Nazarali at a forum Tuesday.
Nazarali, a Madison County Justice of the Peace and business owner, is

(AGI) - Rome, Italy - An international rogatory letter has been issued
for the interrogation of Abolghasen Mesbahi, former manager of the
Iranian information service in France. This has been requested by
magistrate Franco Ionta at Rome's first court of assizes, at which is
taking place the trial for the murder of Mohammed Hussein Naghdi,
Iranian resistance worker killed in March 1993.
Mesbahi's declarations in 1997 and 1998 were useful for arriving at
this trial, which sees Assl Mansur, Amir Bozorgian, both on the run, as
the only accused. |
